I made it through my first week back, though, honestly, I didn’t think I would. I am def going through my reverse culture shock right now as my schedule fills up with classes and meetings and projects for this semester. I remember my first month in Chile where I was overwhelmed with the amount of free time I had. Now I am fighting to get a full night’s sleep. I am sure I will adjust back to my normal schedule soon, but right now I am just exhausted. Thankfully, I have amazing friends who are keeping me company while I am on duty. Vicki and Laura came up after handing out BBQ. Tonight was the black-out pep rally and the Greeks threw a BBQ as well. Saturday we have a huge game against St. Mary’s, so the whole school is getting ready. They are our number one rival here in San Antonio, and our school goes crazy every time we have a game against them. I am so excited, because the tailgating party gets bigger every year. Tomorrow we are having a back to school party in Marian ballroom. They are pimping out the student center with extra games and free popcorn and cotton candy for everyone. I love all of these welcome back events, because I get to see people that I haven’t seen since last year. I feel like every day I run into someone new to catch up with. It has been fantastic and exciting, that is for sure! Tonight I am on duty in my residence hall, and I am just enjoying going up and down the halls introducing myself to everyone that I see. We are having a hall meeting next week, so I will be able to meet anyone that I haven’t yet! I LOVE working with freshmen girls! They always have something fun and exciting going on.
