I officially have my schedule tomorrow, so at least I will be able to make it through the first day of school. I will be taking Sociology of Religion in the morning. After studying shamanism for so long in South America, I am very interested in this class. Religion plays such an important role in all societies, and it is a topic that I am, of course, very interested. Also attending a Catholic school, I wonder if the course will touch upon religious institutions and their role in society. After that I am taking Country Western Dancing with some friends. I think I have explained this before, but I absolutely don’t know any types of country western dancing. I tried two stepping with a friend one time, and, after stepping on his foot more than once, I decided to take a hiatus. Finally, I am hoping to get into the Social Psychology class that is required for my major. It is officially closed for the semester, but I am going to ask the professor to sign me in. Teachers here are always willing to help students out, so I have high hopes for that class. This perfectly crafted schedule would have me finished for the day by 1:15, which would be absolutely perfect! My school schedule is not the only thing I am working on crafting at this moment. As a Resident Assistant, I have six hours a week where I am in my room available to my residents. We also put in two hours a week in the office. Those two extra hours in the office usually help out a lot in learning about Residence Life, because you get to work hand in hand with administrators. They are a huge help, because all of the administrators in Residence Life were Resident Assistants during their college years. There is no use in recreating the wheel, and they are full of all kinds of useful information! Also, I need to decide hours to work in the Campus Ministry office. I am so excited for all of the events going on this semester. The 24 Hour Prayathon is going to happen again, which couldn’t make me happier. This year I will just be in charge of volunteers, so hopefully narrowing down my focus will give me a better result! I need to hit the sheets though, because I definitely have a busy Monday ahead of me.
