Trick or Treat! Here we come!

Halloween is just around the corner! The best part is that this week has been really relaxed. Last night the girls and the guys soccer won! It was freezing but still was a blast! A lot of friends came to out to support. There is nothing better then watching your school win in the freezing cold with your friends! Go Cardinals!!

Tomorrow I have plans to go to my first haunted house! I'm super stoked. Friday and Sunday there are girls soccer games! This week can't get much better. Grades on midterms were better then expected! My mom was glad to hear that. My family is coming to visit in the next couple weeks! It will be a blessing to see all of them. My friends all have family coming into to town too! It's nice to finally put names with faces and learn backgrounds of the people you live with. Pretty much, life is great. I can't ask for anything more. Hope you guys have a blessed week!

The Roller Coaster Comes To An End With God At The End... :)

FINALLY... midterms are over. These last two weeks have been crazy! From studying for test to hanging out with friends, these last two weeks have been one emotional roller coaster. This last weekend some friends and I went to see a break dancing show at Trinity. AMAZING... I have no idea how people could ever move like that. Not only were people showing their crazy dancing skills, the Human Orchestra ( a guy with mad beat boxing skills) put on a 25 minute show of just beats. I can honestly say that I have never seen anyone get close to matching his skills. I think the best part of the night was staying up late doing ZUMBA and other latin dances that we were being taught by Mara. Mara is the coolest Grad Assistant you will ever meet. This week has been filled with pretty much everything. Last week we had four kids pass away from surrounding high schools. One of the youth groups I help lead praise music at did a grief session/prayer service. It was a tough week in that aspect, but the beauty that came out of it was amazing. To see the community not only on campus, but all through SA is amazing. These kids touched my heart forever. The opportunities I have been blessed with from making the choice to come here are more then I could have ever wished for. The service was yet another confirmation that this is where I'm supposed to be. They say God works in mysterious ways. I can't wait to see what He has in store in these up coming weeks. On a brighter note! Taylor (a good friend I met here and fellow band member of our band Alive Again) and I are leading a retreat and then the whole band is putting on a concert for teens this weekend!

The Hardest Choice EVER

So these past few weeks have been super busy! The Switchfoot concert was INSANE! I went with a couple good friends from here and had the time of my life. You got to love the lasting relationships that you develop with the other students you meet.

God has been blessing me in every way. I currently have been blessed with positions at two local churches playing praise music for them. Along with these blessing came a pretty tough choice. After several helpful talks with some counselors and close students in campus ministry I decided to drop soccer. All my extra curricular activities were clashing and after weeks of deciding it was the best thing I could do for me. I am so thankful for the amazing people on campus who helped me choose ministry over the clashing soccer. Even though I love soccer, teens just steal my heart.

Even though I miss soccer, so much stress is released and the blessings keep coming. The thing about UIW is that everyone makes you feel like family and I love it! I could not ask for a better college experience so far!

My first time

Hey guys! I just had an awesome weekend when I returned home for the first time! I have to admit, UIW unfortunately beats my home town. While it was good to see family and friends it was a blessing to know that UIW is becoming my home away from home.

This week has been a pretty hectick week. With all the organization meetings, studying, and soccer practice it can get a little crazy. But none the less, I'm loving every minute of it. Highlights of the week definately started with the Fire monday night! The praise music was on point along with the teaching and it just energized my week. Tuesday I found out that I aced one of my test I was worried about only to be followed by choir practice making it a rocking day! Today was amazing! Started with soccer practice and a couple practices which lead to helping out at a local youth group. Taylor and I help out leading some teens in praise every weekend. Tonight the teens were filled with spirit and awesome as usual!

The rest of the week is looking good with bonding/bowling with the choir, soccer scrimmage friday, and the rocking SWITCHFOOT/THIRD DAY CONCERT SATURDAY!!!
