The other day we were talking about Lent in a campus ministry event. We compared Lent to Christmas. Christmas always seems to be a time where everyone gets excited. I mean who wouldn't? Good presents, scrumptious food, and the birth of Christ. What could be better? Well I think Lent. While presents and food maybe a huge plus. I say the awareness and gifts I get from Lent are much better. It's a time where I look into myself to make myself a better person. A better Christian. I just think it is such a beautiful time where we actually take time to stop and reflect. I often catch myself wishing that I would have stopped and just took a look around. This is what that time is to me. It is absolutely amazing and everything you make it.
