It's been 7 weeks or so since I have made home on the island for the summer and it seems like it was just a couple weeks ago. We are into the second half of the camps and it's been a blessing, but I can't wait to get back to school. Weird right?? Dorm life is probably the best or worst thing that someone can experience, but it was definitely a good thing for me. I miss the constant happening that is always going down anywhere at anytime. I'm rooming with the three other music majors this next semester which can lead up to some pretty awesome jam sessions. However, I know it's going to also lead to no sleep. Which is nothing normal from any other semester! Back to the summer though, we are currently on our weekly break just hanging out. There is two of us that stayed this last week just hang out. The downfall is there is no waves... This place is F.L.A.T. - FLAT. Surfing is pretty much out of the picture although we still will try. The camps seem to be running smoother each week which is nice. The fourth was pretty entertaining as we watched the American patriotism light up the lagoon. I never thought I would miss my family this much though or have withdraws from the DFW area. I think it's just the need of seeing everyone while I can for a least a few days because I know after this summer I probably won't get to for a long while. Maybe i can fit a trip up there in the breaks to come. However my car has been giving me trouble so it may not be the brightest idea. You only live once though right!?
