School is almost at the end..

I can’t believe that school is almost over but with a lot of hard work. We pretty much about 19 days left but this day are very challenging to all of the students. I am very sure that everyone is really ready for the Fall of 2009 because we will be having Football games. I hope everyone has gotten a chance to go to Fiesta before finals. Today we just one of the traditional events on campus “Spring Fling” it was a lot of fun because the weather was wonderful and lots of students attended the event. It takes place every spring and it is free admission. Well I wish every the best and have a great week.

Busy!!!

Wow, this past week has been crazy. We just finished with the room reservations for next semester. When I tell people that living on campus is very popular because most of the commuters came in to get rooms on campus. All of the dorms are filled but for the new incoming freshmen, your rooms are already reserved so what you need to do to get a room is apply by May 1^st 2009. I am very excited that school is almost closing. I hope everyone has been great and school is going well. Have a great Monday.

Almost weekend!!

Wow, it has been a while since I last blogged. I have been extremely busy with school, life and other organizations that I am involved in. I hope that everyone had a great spring break or if you are still on your break, please enjoy it and be safe. School has been busy because of projects due, papers and of course tests. I am very proud to say that I have not missed a single class this semester and I am doing really well in all of my classes.  I guess this is paying me really well and I want to see if my grades will improve even better for this semester. This semester I am taking 17hours and I am not complaining at all. I hope everyone is doing well and life is not bad at all. I wish you a lovely warm day.

Week is almost over!!!

This week has been really busy for me and this weekend I will be studying because I have Quizzes and test next week.  Today we just had our fire inspection in my building but the students were too slow so my building did not pass the test. That mean we have to do it again sometime. But overall I am not doing too bad I just cannot wait for this month to be over with. I hope everyone’s week has been going well and not as stressful. HAPPY ASIAN NEW YEAR!!!

UIW is full of rich cultures which brings a lot of diversity in the university. Today is the Asian New Year and it was celebrated with Asian students and all the UIW student body was invited. We had a lot of performers and also video coverage. Most of the professors who did not have classes attended and so did the staff members. If you are looking for a school that has a lot of diversity, UIW is your number one choice. We have about 300 international students representing different countries. All   Asian students dressed up in their tradition outfits and they all looked outstanding.  I hope everyone’s day went well and I wish you the best night.

Overnighter!!

This overnighter was really fun and the students were very excited.  We had the cheerleaders there most of the student organizations helping with the Overnighter. We had different events going on and the RA’s were very involved. We had a dance contest and the perspective students were winning prizes. Now all the students and their visitors are gone to their rooms and tomorrow we will meet them for breakfast at 8:00am on Monday and then they all go to classes and then eat lunch. I hope that everyone had a great time and hope this was a great experience for them. Have a great night.

Basketball Game!!

Another win…… today UIW played with St. Mary and we beat them which now make UIW number one in Basketball. It was a very exciting game because a lot of the UIW students were there to cheering the team on. Now I can’t wait for the overnighter this Sunday.. Have a great night

What a Day!!

Today has been a slow day. Well I only had two classes and I love both of them. After class I went to work and it was also slow. Today the Basketball team went to Austin to play St.Edwards and I hope they beat them. I wish I was able to go to the game but I can’t wait for the St. Mary game next week. This weekend I am not doing anything but I will be doing homework and we are also having overnighter this Sunday. I am very excited about the overnighter because we have a lot of fun events for the perspective students and the UIW students are very excited about the visitors. I hope that everyone have a great weekend and please be safe.

WORLD CUISINE!!

This semester, I am taking a lot of classes and one of them which are really exciting in the world cuisine class. In this class we learn on different types of foods in the world. So far we started with china and we learned how to cook the Chinese food. I cannot stress this anymore but this class is really fun and the instructor is amazing. All the students who are in the class love it so much. If I were to take the class again, I would take the world cuisine class again.

Obama Inauguration

Today is a great day for lots of people in the World most especially in the USA. Many students gathered in the student center to watch Obama Inauguration. Most of the professors were there to join the students. Obama’s speech was so powerful that it brought tears to most of the students watching. I hope that everyone had a chance to watch the inauguration today. I wish you a pleasant day.
